I recently started removing graphics from my vehicle and thought i would share the method that worked successfully for me.
To start i park the vehicle with the vinyl side in the sun.
Rinse thoroughly with plain water and allow to air dry.
If the warm sun is not an option a heat gun or steamer will give you a similar effect.
Look for the li l chizler which is specifically designed for removing adhesives from glass.
If the decals for removal are new and have not been in place for a particularly long time it is possible to simply pick up an edge and peel the decal off.
Slowly slide the blade under the edges and chip away at the adhesive to separate the decal from the window.

If this does not remove the adhesive residue left behind lightly spray a thin layer of vinyl off on the underlying paint allow to sit for five to 10 minutes and wipe the remaining gunk away with a clean cloth.

A hair dryer or a heat gun will suffice to put heat onto the decals thereby helping to release the glue from either the vinyl or the metal or glass on your vehicle.
