Removing Bona Floor Polish With Windex

Thankfully after days of work on my hands and knees even the drip marks shine marks from left over polish and smears from the windex were all removed by the bona polish remover.

I tried water and vinegar and it helped a little but the smudgy footprints remain. After the recommended hour of no walking on it dogs and people walking on dry floor created horrible smudges that won t clean off. Ammonia is a wax stripper best suited for removing acrylic waxes on hardwood floors. My floors are a little dull and there may be a residue that i am hoping over the next few months of just swiffering and cleaning with only water will also be removed.

Obviously a glass cleaner is not designed for wood floors. This cleaner is designed to clean and restore the overall look of your hardwood floors but it sometimes leaves a cloudy film that actually makes your floors look worse. Because it works windex does remove residue build up or film but the downfalls is that it will kind of ruin your hardwood floor since it strips off the finish. It is formulated specifically to clean glass.
