However if you used baking soda with the vinegar it will remove any odors from the carpet along with the mold. Add vinegar to your baking soda solution or when cleaning up with water to increase the odds of killing the mold species. Spray the area with the spray bottle again and let the surface dry. Baking soda is a natural and very soft disinfectant so it will leave no odor.

Mold is a very serious and can be very damaging to your health. When you re finished blow dry the areas you scrubbed so they re not damp. Spray the area let it act a few hours and wipe with a damp cloth.
