Do not pour too much alcohol on the stain.
Remove ink stain from carpet.
Keep blotting for 30 minutes so the alcohol has time to dissolve the ink.
The alcohol will penetrate the stain but it can also go deeper and harm the padding under the carpet if you are not careful.
This is another simple method to remove permanent ink from the carpet as acetone works at dissolving the ink.
However this method can have a bleaching effect on dark colored carpet.
Blot and repeat until the stain is gone.
While the carpet is still wet blot the stain using a white towel or cloth.
Once the area is stain free dab the area with a towel dipped in lukewarm water.
Rubbing alcohol can help to remove aggressive stains but should be used lightly as the alcohol can break down the carpet glue if it touches the backing.
Then rinse it with plain water.
Repeat the first and second step until the stain is disappeared.
The acetone will gradually dissolve the ink and it will be absorbed in the cotton ball.
If you have light or white colored carpet hydrogen peroxide can also help to remove ink and toner.
Again repeat this process until the stain is removed entirely.
When the ink is gone rinse your carpet with a warm water vinegar solution to prevent damage from the alcohol.
Touching the fiber might further grind in the ink then apply a spot remover or carpet cleaner with foaming action to lift up the ink.
Spray the hairspray onto the stained carpet to soften the ink.
Once you begin to lightly blot the ink stain from the carpet you should start to see the color transfer onto the towel.
Simply saturate a cotton ball in acetone and dab it on the stain on the carpet.
Once the alcohol has soaked for a minute take a clean rag and begin blotting more ink from the stain.
To remove ink from carpet wet a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stain.
Apply enough to cover the stain and allow it to soak down about half an inch.
